Gilles CHABRIER

Gilles Chabrier was born in 1959 in Riom-ès-Montages in Cantal.
From his training as a glass engraver, Gilles Chabrier masters the technique of sandblasting.
He takes advantage of the depth and transparency of glass in his sculptures.
His cold glass work is combined with metal and concrete. His sculptures reflect the contrasts between direct carving and sandblasting, where perfectly worked surfaces are contrasted to raw surfaces that expose the material.
These two techniques reveal the artist’s creative process.
His works dabble in many creative domains; from interior design, monumental works, carved heads, to decorative furniture and illuminated totems. Gilles Chabrier’s work presents a range of unique creations.
